Owl Book
So many of the poems, plays and songs that I learnt at school have stayed with me and find their way into my work. We sang a lovely setting of a song by Shakespeare, from Love’s Labour’s Lost. It’s the Winter song, and it begins ‘When Icicles hang by the wall’ and features the lovely line ‘Then nightly sings the staring Owl’. Some of these lines appear handwritten in the background to this Owl book, which is from a painting of mine and of course the book features barn owls swooping out of it.
This handmade concertina book has 7.5 centimetre square covers, and extends to about 20cm when fully open. It comes safely packaged in a gift box. Perfect as a gift for lovers of Shakespeare - and Owls !
The background is recycled heavy weight card, inkjet printed so please keep it away from water.
