Escape to the Countryside…
Come and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the Northumberland National Park. My workshops are held in my beautifully converted wooden barn, offering the perfect peaceful retreat to unleash your creativity. The welcoming studio is an inspiring setting for a day of paper-filled fun ! I’m based in a lovely village about 30 miles north of Newcastle, set in stunning surroundings so it’s definitely worth the trip. For those coming from a distance who need to stay there are plenty of options for Bed & Breakfast locally including at the village pub and in nearby Otterburn and Rothbury. I may also have some availability in my holiday cottage which is right next door to the Studio. If you are interested in combining a holiday with a course or two, please do get in touch. Discover Papercutting
One day courses suitable for beginners, exploring the delicate and intricate craft of papercutting. The introductory day will cover basic scalpel cutting techniques and starting with simple designs, I’ll explain how to start designing papercuts and provide plenty of inspiration for creating and displaying them. I’m also adding further courses which explore different themes; see below for more options.
Explore Artist’s Books
There’s magic in transforming a flat piece of paper into unique, expressive artist’s books. On this introductory day course, I’ll introduce a range of simple folded and stitched book structures, providing techniques and inspiration for ongoing exploration.

Bespoke Workshops
Fancy a day in the studio working with me ? I am always happy to organise a bespoke workshop day, whether it’s Papercutting or Artists’ Books you’d like to explore. Perhaps you’ve got a project in mind that you want to work on or a particular focus you want to pursue. Come and spend an inspiring day with me in this peaceful creative space. For a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 people; you can book the day with me starting at just £95 per person. Just drop me an email enquiry.
If you are coming from further afield, why not combine it with an overnight stay in this gorgeous part of the world ?
