Papercutting Kit
This comprehensive kit in a box contains some of my exclusive designs for you to make yourself, with templates suitable for beginners as well as those who have some experience. A detailed booklet explains in easy stages how to complete each piece as well as giving you ideas for starting to design your own papercuts. Beginning with tips on using a scalpel and cutting simple shapes, the templates then range in difficulty to help you progress, and also includes a sheet of motifs and lettering for incorporating in designing for papercutting. There are also useful suggestions for mounting and displaying your work, and some pointers for further reading, This kit in a box makes a lovely creative boost for yourself or the perfect gift for an arty friend or relative.
The kit contains the following :
A detailed booklet of explanation and tips with illustrations.
Two sheets of sample shapes
Templates for hanging baubles and a blank one to design yourself;
A papercut card to make, with an envelope and a coloured insert;
Templates for two small papercuts with lettering - ‘Come Fly with Me’ and ‘Dance under the Moon’ with grey card for backing;
Template for a 23cm square papercut with card for the background;
Three sheets of lettering and motifs and blank paper for your own designs.
(NB the only extras you will need are a cutting knife and cutting mat. I recommend a Swann Morton handle No. 3 and 10A blades. A metal ruler will also be helpful).
