Sea Fret I
inspired by the Northumbrian coast, I’ve been making a lot of work lately featuring the sea. This piece has a background created with a combination of torn paper and inks, creating overlapping layers of colour. Three paper cut gulls float over the surface, suspended on black pins so they seem to hover in space and cast lovely shadows in the right light. Framed in a simple white box frame, it’s about 20 cm square.
