Hare Book
When I was little we used to sing an old folk song 'The hart he loves the high wood, the hare she loves the hill' and there are indeed hares up the hill where I live. I love seeing them on a spring morning so they had to feature in a book. The background is taken from a painting of mine, and printed onto soft grey recycled card. The words of the song are collaged in and I've used a simple pop-up technique for the paper hares.
This handmade concertina paper cut book has 7.5 centimetre square covers, and extends to about 20cm when fully open. It comes presented in a gift box.
